KibFest 2015 is being organised by members of the Kibworth Charitable Trust team and all proceeds raised from the day will go to the Trust. The Trust is a grant making charity whose aim is to raise funds to support local community projects in Kibworth and Smeeton Westerby.
The Trust began in May 2013 with the first family music festival in Kibworth- KibFest. It was held in loving memory of Adam Bennett, whose great legacy is the example he set to all of us in the community by his unselfish dedication to the cause of both Kibworth and Smeeton Juniors Football Club and Kibworth Primary School. People came in their hundreds to support KibFest, to enjoy the great bands, retail stalls and great food. The day was a huge success raising an incredible £12,000 for Kibworth Primary School, Kibworth & Smeeton Juniors and The Kibworth Charitable Trust.
Since then there have been various fundraising events from jumble sales to raffles and we have received huge support from local businesses, with all your help we have been able to give £14,000 to local causes and projects such as Kibworth Village Hall and the 1st Kibworth Scouts.
If you are involved with a community-focussed initiative in Kibworth or Smeeton Westerby and feel that you would benefit from funding you can pick an application form from Kibworth Post Office or find out further information at www.kibworthcharitabletrust.org.uk
